What's up all? My name is Amber Rutledge and I am the founder of Order and Scrub (O&S). I so appreciate your presence and the time you took out of your day to learn more about the brand and how it came to be.
Since I can remember I have thrived in a clean and tidy environment. I can not think clearly in a cluttered room and I know any individual who is a self-proclaimed "tidying-up enthusiast" like myself will agree with me. I cleanup everywhere I go. Ask anyone who knows me. I tidy up during other people's parties, I tidy up the self-serve condiment bar when I get coffee, and I can commonly be seen straightening up the gum, candy and magazines in the check-out line at the grocery store. I can't help it. My love for cleaning is bigger than me. For me, a clean home means more free time, more clarity, and more opportunity to get non-related cleaning tasks completed (aka more time to work on my passion projects or read graphic novels). One day it dawned on me that I appreciated the benefits I received from a clean and organized home so much that I wanted others to be able to enjoy them too without having to put in the dirty work. Lo and behold, Order and Scrub was created.
Throughout the years I have cleaned for myself, my friends, my family members, for businesses, and for anyone who would let me. I felt naturally compelled to start serving a larger clientele as my cleaning and organizing skills increased and the need for my services expanded. I started Order and Scrub with the main goals of cleaning and organizing people's homes and it turned into so much more over time. Opening a cleaning business has allowed me to combine my passion for cleaning, helping people, and adding value to the lives of others and to be able to support myself while doing it. I believe this is where the young kids would say "blessed".
